#strangerthings5 uses 2 prince songs in the most genius way possible. it starts with “When Doves Cry” as they set off the bomb in the upside down. later, we hear “Purple Rain” before the bomb goes off. it’s so cool to me because they use a physical copy of the Purple Rain album to do so. with no one there to turn the record player off, the record canonically keeps playing. so, when the bomb goes off, we hear “Purple Rain” because no one is there to stop the record. that’s the most genius use of 2 songs from the same side of a record. i didn’t see it coming but looking back, it makes so much sense.

One thing this year has been showing me is some people will want the benefits of you in their life without genuine effort. You make them feel good in some way but they can’t reciprocate. You have to trust your intuition always!

I can no longer be just a giver. I want to be loved, nourished, taken care of, spoiled, and prioritized - not just with words, but with actions too...

One thing I cannot stand is when people try and make you seem crazy for being right. I have been a lot of things in this lifetime but stupid is not one of them and my ability to put the pieces together should be studied!

Life gets better when you stop trying to force things that aren’t aligned with you and just let it be what it is. Rejection is divine protection 🪄
