Out now! From 2000-2019, 200,643 children were married across 41 states and DC. Rates of child marriage have declined steeply since the year 2000, but child marriage continues to happen in states where it remains legal.

Patterns in the US mirror those seen across the globe: >75% of those who married as children were girls in every state. Girls married men who were an avg. of 4 years older than them, while boys married women who were an avg. of 1.3 years older.
