@Becs@firehorsemia You are tougher than me. My kids are still at home at 28 and 26. Oldest will likely never go. Youngest is trying to save for a house so with us while he saves.
@Becs I ate the fresh Sunday bread loaf on the way back from the shop. It was meant to be for the family lunch. But I got hungry walking the 50 meters back from the shop. It was still warm and delicious. Never got sent again...
@Becs I dreamed I was attacked by rats. I woke the house up with my screams. I struggling to keep a rat from my throat and could feel it in my hands. I was begging my mum to get it off me. Then she turned on the light and it was gone. Still gives me the creeps 50 years later.
@Becs@slow_tri_guy I remember my best mate talking about her mum turning 30. We were 13 going on 14. My mum was 32 when I was born. She was so much older than all the other mums when she came along to a school trip I told people she was my grandma. I was a horrible child.
@tutugd@Becs My mum retired at 62 1/3. I was 6 months pregnant with her 1st grandchild. I am fast approaching 60 now with zero grandkids. My second child is in a serious relationship so maybe I will beat mum.
@RobinBGrieve@vincristine For goodness sake you can't even see your prejudice. Lifestyle choices. Studies are wrong because... Less likely to doesn't mean only! More likely to doesn't mean only.
@RobinBGrieve@vincristine Wow so the hundreds of studies are wrong. Because some public figures got treated okay that overrules the crap treatment others have received. Keep living in your everybody gets treated the same bubble. I will stay in the real world.
@maplecove69@RevisionistNow Some people will go for their 3 free appointments because they are entitled to their entitlements. There are a whole lot of older patients that already go 4x a year because some GPs like to monitor their conditions. 3 free appointment will make pensioners very happy.
@RobinBGrieve@vincristine That sounds very judgemental, uninformed and a bit biased. I have had 20 years in healthcare and have seen the results of so many studies that show that Maori are poorly serviced by our health system that was imported from the UK.
@RobinBGrieve@vincristine Problem is if the patient is poor and brown, they are less likely to be sitting in front of the doctor. If they do get an appointment, they are less likely to be prescribed long term medication, be referred to specialist care and many other less likely scenarios. Biased system.
@SimeonBrownMP This is yet another example how Labour is held to higher standards than your own party. NATIONAL gets a free pass when they announce policies with zero proof of costings. Or when they write policies based on lots of people have contacted us or 'vibes'.
@Becs I had me a wife, I had me some daughters.
I tried so hard, I never knew still waters.
Nothing to eat, nothing to drink.
Nothing for a man to do but sir around and think...
Country death song was always my favourite feel good song.🤣
@matt_horncastle A small % hate her because felt they had their freedums restricted. A few business folk felt slighted because they weren't allowed to profit from a pandemic. Then there are the misogynistic who hated her because she was a woman telling them no. Some are all three...
@CraigHanover@vincristine Charity? The charity in NZ goes to landlords and shit employers who pay so low the taxpayers have to stump up accommodation supplements and working for families tax rebates.
