Waiting is not easy. We feel exhausted at times, on the verge of giving up. We may even lower our expectations. But we have to press on because only You know when the time is right. Almighty. Keep our faith firm while waiting, trusting You always.
Marriage will teach you to adjust to so many things when you genuinely love your spouse.
I’m someone who loves fish, especially catfish. Anything fish-related pepper soup, grilled fish, whatever I’m there. 😂
But my wife doesn’t like fish at all. So ever since we got married, I’ve never just bought fish and told her to cook it. If she feels like cooking fish herself, or we visit our parents and they prepare it, then I’ll eat it. Otherwise, I simply leave it.
Not because she forced me to. I just know she doesn’t like it, and I don’t want to deliberately do things that make her uncomfortable.
Today, she made food and added coleslaw with what I think was sardine or Titus. I tasted it and honestly loved it. 😂
I wanted to kiss her immediately, then I remembered she doesn’t like fish. Before I could even try, she kissed me from afar and said in Hausa:
“In ka gama ka je, kayi brush.” 😂😭
Basically: “If you want to kiss me, go and brush your mouth first.” 😭😂
I couldn’t stop laughing.
Marriage isn’t about getting everything your way. Sometimes, loving someone means making small adjustments simply because their comfort matters to you.
And honestly, when you truly love your spouse, some sacrifices don’t even feel like sacrifices. ❤️
Getting this for someone I love isn’t a problem. Just don’t expect this when all you’ve to offer are some stupid mood swings, boring communication & vibe, always expecting without reciprocating effort, zero accountability & believing it’s actually my responsibility to get u this.
The fact that there are people living among us who are willing to vote for Tinubu again is scary. To me, anyone willing to vote for that man again is capable of m#rder.
I love my girlfriend on a somewhat absurd level, completely without explanation. I'm a fan of her, an admirer of her, and I'm proud of her. I love her smile, her voice, her way, her quirks, and even the little things that probably only I notice. But above all, I love her soul.
I don’t think anyone should know your spouse’s faults except you. Their shortcomings or your arguments, these things should remain between you. Your spouse’s dignity is an amanah. You’re meant to be a cloak of haya for one another, covering each other’s faults, not exposing them.
