Thank Democrat Governor Healey for the RELEASE OF AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CONVICTED OF CHILD R*PE instead of handing her over to ICE in Massachusetts.

Her convictions had been overturned, but an immigration detainer remained. ICE blames the Democratic governor’s new PROTECT Act for blocking the handoff. ICE officers subsequently arrested her after Massachusetts released her from state custody.

ICE Boston announced Oct. 2 that Diony Edith Ramirez Patino, a Colombian national the agency describes as unlawfully present, was in federal immigration custody following her release from the Massachusetts Department of Correction.

A Suffolk Superior Court jury had convicted her of statutory aggravated r*pe of a child and indecent as*ault and battery on a child under 14. ICE says she received a 10-year sentence.

The Massachusetts Appeals Court vacated both convictions on June 3, 2026. A detective had testified that Ramirez declined to speak with police after receiving Miranda warnings translated into Spanish. The court concluded that introducing her exercise of the right to remain silent was not harmless beyond a reasonable doubt.

The court nevertheless found the trial evidence legally sufficient, meaning the Commonwealth may retry her. The convictions are vacated, and the allegations remain unresolved.

According to the decision, the child told his mother in August 2020 that Ramirez, a cousin who had stayed with the family, engaged in s*xual activity with him while BABYSITTING in October 2019.

There was no forensic corroboration, and jurors deliberated for three days before returning guilty verdicts. The decision also describes a booking-room recording that police later lost. A detective said Ramirez denied wrongdoing during that call and described memory loss after taking “blue pills.”

Gov. Maura Healey signed the PROTECT Act on Aug. 5, with immediate effect. It limits warrantless civil immigration arrests at courthouses, schools, hospitals and child care centers, and prohibits new 287(g) agreements with state agencies.

Healey called it “the strongest law in the country to protect people from ICE and to protect public safety." PUBLIC SAFETY?!?!?⠀

Massachusetts officials owe the public an EXPLANATION.

New Lab Test Investigation into cat food sold in America tested 62 brands, covering 100 products and found:

- 99% contained lead
- 94% contained arsenic
- 96% contained cadmium
- Dry food had about 3c the lead of wet or air-dried food
- Fish and seafood formulas had about 18x the mercury of other dry foods
- Fish and seafood formulas had about 28x among wet foods only
- Nearly half of fish products ranked in the high-mercury group. No poultry product did
- Fish formulas also had about 2.5x the cadmium
- Glyphosate (weed killer) was detected in 37% of products
- The plasticizer DEHP was found in 48 of 100 products, canned and pouched products had about 5x as much as bagged products

We just arrested a Chinese foreign agent at LAX attempting to depart for China.

Wanying Zhang, aka “Heather,” 34, of Irvine, was arrested today by @FBILosAngeles on a federal complaint charging her with acting as an unregistered agent of the People’s Republic of China.

According to the affidavit, Zhang traveled to Seattle in 2025 and, at the direction of PRC officials, surveilled a close relative of a Taiwanese government official, sending photos, videos, and license plate information to those officials.

She coordinated the trip with an associate and used tradecraft to avoid detection. She never notified the Attorney General she was acting for a foreign government, a federal offense.

She will appear in federal court in Los Angeles tomorrow for her initial appearance. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

During Mass at The Grotto’s annual Blessing of the Animals on Sept. 20, one husky couldn’t resist joining in when the music began. In a now-viral video filmed by attendee Blanca Gallardo, the pup lets out a series of enthusiastic howls as a priest sings — prompting the priest to walk over and hold a microphone near the furry vocalist.

The moment has become an internet hit, with the Instagram Reel drawing 7.1 million views and 741,000 likes. The husky’s owner and identity were not initially known, though Gallardo said she attended the blessing with her own dog, Phoebe.

The clip’s comments quickly turned the impromptu duet into a heavenly punchline. One viewer, @kindsi, wrote: “The priest sang, ‘all creatures of our God and King, lift up your voice and let us sing’ and the husky said ‘HaleAWOOOOOyah!’”

Honestly, the dog was just following directions.

The Blessing of the Animals took place at 3:30 p.m. in The Grotto Plaza. The annual event welcomes people and pets of all faiths and celebrates the “joy, beauty, love, fidelity, encouragement and comfort” that animal companions bring into people’s lives.

And if this dog had anything to say about it, that comfort apparently comes with a powerful set of lungs.

Today, on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, it seems only right that one enthusiastic husky reminded everyone at Mass that all creatures are invited to lift up their voices, even if that voice is an awe-inspiring “awoooo.”

🚨 Attention dog lovers 🚨

Major is a Belgian Malinois service dog.

He has spent more than 545 days alone in an isolation kennel at the Austin Animal Center.

No walks.

No pets.

No people.

Now the city wants to put him down.

Here's what happened:

* March 2025, a pickup truck hit Major.

* He was hurt and in pain, and a woman who stopped to help tried to lift him into a car.

* He bit her.

* A municipal judge ordered him euthanized as a danger to the public.

* His human, Shane Lilly, has fought it through the Texas Supreme Court ever since.

Now a federal judge has put the euthanasia on hold and is expected to decide within days whether an independent trainer can evaluate Major for rehabilitation.

More than 54,000 people have signed the petition to free him.

An injured dog snapped while a stranger was moving him.
