A bible verse to remind you to not be afraid is Psalms 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation, so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?”
Pls pray about everything. Your mood swings, your temper, your ego, your insecurities, your mindset, your self-love, your emotional state, your environment, your relationships, your lack of motivation, your lack of execution, your attraction to bad people. PRAY ABOUT IT ALL
we are quick to welcome the unbeliever, but very quick to distance ourselves from the believer who is struggling. winning souls is important, but retaining souls matters too.
Whatever you do, pray for the ability to see your own sins, your own hypocrisy, and your own shortcomings. Never lose sight of that. Never get so carried away, pointing fingers that you forget you, too, have abscesses that need tending.
We were in the car after a long day, both of us exhausted. He was on the phone with a friend through the speakers, and they were talking about life, work, stress… all of it.
At one point his friend joked, “Man, marriage must be tiring.”
Without even thinking, he said, “Nah. Marriage isn’t tiring. Life is tiring. My wife is the part that makes it worth it.”
I froze in the passenger seat.
He kept driving like he didn’t just shift my entire world with one sentence.
Later that night I asked him if he really meant it.
He looked at me confused and said,
“Of course. You’re not my responsibility. You’re my reward.”
And I swear, in a world where people talk about marriage like it’s a burden…
He talks about it like he won the lottery.
And that’s all the reassurance I’ll ever need.
I’ll never take for granted the way God covered & favored me when I was trying to live without him. He welcomed me with open arms when I finally realized I couldn’t do it without him. I don’t deserve the love & grace he’s given me but am forever grateful for it.
