the most expensive addiction is approval, because people are addicted to approval. but how do you overcome this addiction?

first, privacy.

buy a car, don’t post it. do charity, don’t announce it. go on a holiday, don’t post it cos privacy teaches you how to be genuine to urself. you begin to focus more on yourself rather than the public, so much that you stop caring less about what other people think about you.

the focus becomes on you and what you want to become. eventually, you become proud of your own achievements.
