Anyone who knew me a couple of years ago will know I wasn't a runner.
But now I'm running the 10k Race for Life in support of Cancer Research UK in May.
This is also my first time fundraising for so: chuck in some cash, please. https://t.co/JlBu6An8QH
Going to post this once and be proud of myself. It took nearly six months, I had to change my lifestyle significantly, proper blood, sweat and tears stuff: 4 intense cardio sessions a week and a 1500kcal diet, but my BMI is at “healthy” for the first time since I was seventeen!
In Ireland for Christmas, got some good company, good books (including some jihadi theory), good shoes, booze and reservations at nice restaurants. All is good
“The €1trillion strangely structured Eurobond that creates entirely BRD-linked debt was a weird event, but it did lead to the creation of the only liberal democracy in the Middle East…”
If the geopolitical alignment of a new Syria comes down to who provides the best deal over financial aid, trade, energy or infrastructure development then the Americans will end up as peripheral actors compared to what Turkey, the EU, Gulfies, Russia or China are willing to offer

The scenes coming from #Sednaya are haunting — this wasn’t just a prison & torture center, it was a concentration camp. A true horror.
Mountains of bodies. Rooms full of disposed clothes & shoes. Skeletons. Bodies partially destroyed by acid.
Just surreal that a scuffle over the balance in the Aleppo countryside ended with the insurgents taking over Damascus. Totally hollow, rotten regime crumpled on impact. https://t.co/lE75VEWlSy
