Goodrich & Owosso continued the almost even play of the 2nd qtr for the first 6 minutes of the 2nd half until Goodrich put together a 13-0 run spanning the quarter break to open up a 57-20 lead & put the game away. Goodrich remains undefeated in conference play with a 61-25 win.

Jr Tanner Schramm & sr Ella Place (pictured) led a balanced attack with 14 & 13 points, respectively. Place hit a trio of 3s to help spread out Owosso's zone, & Schramm added a 3 & got to the rim to score off the cut, drive, & offensive rebound. Jr Northwood University recruit Kayla Hairston (pictured in the halftime tweet), who was on pace for a triple-double at half, was content to set up teammates on the break & against the zone, dishing out 8 assists, while playing harassing defense & hunting down rebounds to add 4 steals & 6 rebounds from the PG position.

Jr Danica Dwyer scored 15 of Owosso's 25 points, & matched her PG counterpart with 6 rebounds & 4 steals.

Between the girls' & boys' games, Goodrich honored their girls' cross country & football teams that won state championships in the fall.
