TOKENOMICS DETAILS:

Totem is and always will be an open source platform. On top of our opencore, the products will have several revenue streams:

Totem Desktop and Totem Premium Features will use a perpetual license model.

A one-time payment allows a user to forever use the current version of the software. The license includes updates and bug fixes.

Major Updates
Twice per year, major feature releases will be available under a new license, with discounts provided to existing users.

Totem is not a SaaS. It’s not a subscription. Your Totem is yours. The recurring cost is only for major new features and development. Unlike SaaS products, your Totem does not stop working if you choose not to upgrade.

Revenue Allocation
50% of all platform revenue will be returned to the project to support development, infrastructure, and ecosystem growth.

The remaining 50% will be directed toward token holder value through mechanisms that will be transparently announced as revenue streams are activated.

Official Hosted Totem
The Totem Core Team has used Totem internally for development for months.

We will offer hosted Totems for users, where uptime, maintenance, and custom skills/tools are managed by our team. This will operate on a pay-per-token model.

Community Hosted Totem
On our roadmap is an ecosystem where community members can host their own Totems and provide services to their own users while maintaining full control.

We are just getting started. We have a large and ambitious roadmap, and releases will continue in reliable, incremental stages.

It began with the In-Browser release.
It continues with the Terminal release this week.

As new releases are made and revenue models are introduced, they will be transparently announced here and within our documents
