To add to my parent tweet, not enough adults are stepping up and taking on the roles they need to play in these kids lives. You cannot make the excuse that you’re tired, that you don’t have enough money or time. If you got time to binge watch a show, you got time to show up for your community.
Everybody wants things to get better but doesn’t want to play a role in it. Nobody is coming to save us because we have to save us. The tools are there, the foundation has been laid, we have to do our part.
You need boredom. A lot of it. Start by going on walks without music. No stimulation. No distractions of any kind. If you learn to sit with your own thoughts, for long enough, in time they will start serving you. You'll start having ideas once again. You'll start developing an extreme sense of clarity that will shift you into the next stage of your life. All by being bored, which is pretty insane.
I don't care what anyone says, after 2020 people got mean and weird. Everyone is so mean for no reason. people don't even smile anymore. People don't even strike up conversations anymore in public. People are really stuck in their phones and don't ever leave the house. What happened?
You know what really bugs me these days? We can't own anything. Everything is a subscription service, like literally everything. You can't buy Microsoft Office, you have to purchase a subscription for a year. You literally have to pay for everything FOREVER. Isn't anyone else bothered by this?
