REVEALING JESUS: DISCIPLESHIP (BUILDING THE MEN THAT TRANSFORM NATIONS)

The Great Commission is at the very heart of a Believer’s walk with God. The extent to which a Believer is transformed determines the extent to which he or she can serve as an effective witness, drawing unbelievers to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This makes discipleship the most vital component of the Great Commission. Discipleship is the intentional transformation of men and women who will, in turn, transform their territories and nations. In other words, it is the building of people, what we can call human capital development. When Believers are not properly trained and equipped, society suffers a decline in the very change agents ordained to bring transformation.

The Church is not the only institution on earth, but it is the most reliable, endowed with a divinely accredited strategy for reforming and transforming men. However, to fully benefit from discipleship, salvation must first take place. Without the indwelling of The Holy Spirit received at the point of salvation, the capacity for genuine transformation is absent. True transformation is the work of The Holy Spirit, accomplished through The Word of God.

Yet, discipleship is not complete without certain essential elements that guarantee its effectiveness. Without them, it risks becoming a mere religious ritual that leaves believers vulnerable rather than empowered. When discipleship is structured this way, it produces transformed men and women who become agents of societal transformation. Real change does not begin at the polls with elected leaders, it begins with the massive emergence of people who have been transformed by Christ and discipled into maturity.

Because a man said yes, millions found language for their destinies. The weary found rest, the broken found healing, and the hungry encountered truth. He came not just with charisma, but with fire, depth, and a divine mandate for our generation.

In a world captivated by noise, he modeled the power of silence. In an age driven by platforms, he returned us to the altar. Amid the chase for relevance, he revealed the beauty of surrender. He taught us to seek Jesus Christ; not merely His gifts. To carry fire, not just titles. To build altars, not empires. To love deeply, pray fervently, and serve faithfully.

To some, he is a preacher. To others, a prophet, a mentor, an apostle. But to us, he is a Father. Apostle Joshua Selman, your life is proof that the price for all of God is all of us and that a man can truly walk with God. You've not just preached the Word; you have become it. Line upon line, precept upon precept, you've shaped lives, discipled nations, and built enduring legacies from the secret place.

You are not building followers, you are raising witnesses. You're not building a name, you're building a generation anchored in Christ. You are a divine portal - A voice to nations, a living witness to the Kingdom come mandate, a herald of kingdom truths. You are a move of God in motion.

Today, we rise in honour. We do not just say “Happy Birthday”. We say THANK YOU. Thank you for saying yes. Thank you for loving Jesus unapologetically. Thank you for pouring out yourself for a generation. You've become an answer to prayers we didn’t know how to pray. A fulfillment of prophecy. A divine gift to our time.

And so, we pray: May your days be long, your peace be deep, and your crown, weighty with souls. May the oil upon your life never run dry, may the heavens over you remain open, may your reward be eternal, and your strength multiplied.

We honour you. We celebrate you. We bless you.

One of the most devastating blind spots I’ve seen in life and ministry is how easily people discard God-ordained relationships. One disagreement—one moment of offence—and it’s game over. They cut it off. Block. Delete. Walk away. No fight for reconciliation. No maturity. No endurance.

Hear this: The most fruitful relationships are often the hardest to keep. Why? Because the enemy knows what’s at stake—and we make his job easy by bringing our insecurities, our pride, our immaturity into the equation. We sabotage what heaven sent because we can’t handle a little discomfort.

And yet, when it comes to your calling—you fight. When it comes to your marriage—you endure. But when it comes to covenant friendships and divine connections, we toss them like diapers.

RELATIONSHIPS ARE A SPIRITUAL CURRENCY. They carry power. They carry access. They carry fire. If you mishandle them, you will bankrupt yourself spiritually.

You don’t need 100% agreement to walk in peace. You just need 100% understanding that God doesn’t waste relationships. If He connected you, it’s for purpose. Honour it. Fight for it. Stay open.

This is why, by the grace of God, I can boldly say: I’m not fighting anyone. I’ve left the battlefield of ego for the altar of peace.

Because how you treat relationships says everything about who you are and how much of Christ is truly at work in you.
