I’m not virtue signaling. I’m not anti-cop. I’m not being political.
But the death of #GeorgeFloyd is tragic and heartbreaking. This man is an image-bearer who needlessly died in a dereliction of duty and abuse of authority.
I mourn with all who loved and knew him.
@ErikReed You said this on the Speak Life night of Fuge 5 years ago and it has honestly stuck to me since that day. You were the teaching pastor week 1 of NGU Fuge. I’ll never forget it.
Women love to get in a holy huddle and tell one another how wonderfully broken they are. The focus of Women’s Ministries tends to be acceptance/affirmation of sin, rather than repentance.
If it starts with *you* and not with Jesus, the red flags should go up. 🚩🚩🚩
I have hit that catastrophic point in quarantine where I’m wanting to chop my already short hair even shorter. No bangs, I’m not there yet, but super short hair. I know I’ll hate it yet here I am pinteresting curly short cuts for my poodle head. TBD if I ruin my own life 🤷🏼♀️
I forgot about the amount of pain I experience in my hips a few hours after I run and holy cow, getting back into a consistent running routine might actually be the death of me. Say nice things at my funeral please 🙃
Then I talked to the child’s adoptive mom and listened to her weep because she’s afraid she’ll never see her child again. It was the entire spectrum of emotions in just a few hours. Ending my career with DSS with a bang for sure.
Today has been, well, a lot. I watched a child FaceTime with her adoptive mom and get a lot of reconciliation and closure which was so sweet. I watched a parent who hasn’t seen their child in almost 15 years get their child back almost like they raised from the dead.
