From music to story.
From stage to platform.
The journey where you can truly dance with your soul is about to begin here.
The wait won’t be long, soon @StoryProtocol.
<Belief in the Unstoppable Power of the Devoted>
Finally had time to write this post after KBW.
THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Story’s Origin Summit. It was truly a first-of-its-kind event. We brought together people like Kyung In Jung (CEO of The Black Label behind Blackpink), Jake Song (co-founder of Nexon and creator of the world’s first MMORPG Kingdom of the Winds), @CryptoHayes, @justinsuntron, @LucaNetz, @CarolineDPham (Acting Chair of the CFTC), and 40+ other voices across K-pop, AI, and crypto to blueprint the future of IP.
But one conversation stuck with me the most. I was talking with @maggiemkang, Director of K-Pop Demon Hunters, Netflix's most watched show with 325.1M views in just three months.
I asked her why she put “K-Pop” in the title. Honestly, when I first heard it, I thought it could be either its biggest strength, or its biggest weakness. She told me her thinking from six years ago, back when K-pop was still somewhat niche.
Her answer: know who your core audience is, and who it isn’t. The biggest mistake most IPs make, especially Hollywood, is trying to appeal to everyone. And once you do that, you risk losing everyone.
Instead, she focused on a smaller, diehard audience and trusted their love to carry the word outward. Even then, she knew the K-pop community’s devotion was unmatched, so putting it in the title was a no-brainer for her.
Damn. Her instincts were spot on. K-Pop Demon Hunters' soundtrack produced Billboard Hot 100 hits, including the #1 single “Golden,” and earned acclaim as the first soundtrack in the last three decades to land three Billboard Top 10 Singles.
Her answer really hit me. Because it’s the same truth that governs startups. It’s better to have 100 diehards than 10,000 lukewarm fans that kind of like your product. Success doesn’t happen overnight. It happens on the 2,000th night.
That’s also the energy behind Story. We’re not for everyone. We’re for the people who believe in a different future for IP as the world races into AI and crypto. Those people showed up to Origin Summit, and it was INSANITY.
– We had the CEOs of the 3 biggest K-pop companies: @HYBEOFFICIALtwt, @SMTOWNGLOBAL, and The Black Label.
– We had Solo Leveling bringing its manhwa + anime IP to Story, and @Verse_Eight vibe-coding major IPs into games.
– We had Arthur Hayes, Justin Sun, and Caroline Pham in the same room as K-pop moguls and top Korean politicians.
Maggie wrapped our convo perfectly: “It’s fitting your company’s called Story. Because that’s the most important thing, in anything. Everybody wants to feel, and be connected to something—and that’s story.”
Huge thanks to our partners @blockworks, @hankyungmedia, and the Story team for helping us bring Origin Summit to life.
Story is quickly becoming an unstoppable force.
Korea runs on IP.

The US prints money off intellectual property.
It owns the ideas, brands, and tech. Factories? Nah.
But sure, let’s “bring jobs back” and ignore where the real profits live. 🙃
#INTELLECTUALGOLD#MAGA
The way IP is valued and managed is evolving. It is no longer just about ownership but about active participation. The most successful brands today are not only owned but shaped by the communities that engage with them. @Hasbro is a great example of how IP thrives when communities become co-creators.
Unlocking its full potential requires fan engagement, strategic partnerships, AI-driven insights, and digital-first monetisation. This is where @Mycelium_io and @StoryProtocol come in. We are moving beyond traditional licensing models and into a space where IP is not just owned but actively expanded, shared, and valued in real time. AI is becoming a powerful tool in IP management, helping brands analyse engagement, track trends, and personalise fan experiences at scale.
Here’s why this shift matters and how leading brands are already making it happen. 🧵👇
Build with Purpose.
Not just for the hype, but for longevity. Not just for clicks, but for real impact.
That’s why we’re building @Mycelium_IO on @StoryProtocol, the World’s IP Blockchain — a system where creators, brands, and communities can co-create, expand, and monetise intellectual property together at an unprecedented scale.
From Consumers to Co-Creators: A New Era of IP Ownership
For too long, IP has been controlled by a select few, leaving communities as passive consumers. That era is over. We are shifting the power dynamic — giving communities, creators, and brands the tools to build, expand, and monetise $IP together.
At the core of this transformation is the idea that “Communities = Co-Creators = Consumers”. Instead of simply consuming content, communities now have direct participation in storytelling, shaping IP through user-generated content (UGC), micro-licensing, and viral brand engagement. Every remix, meme, and creation adds value to the ecosystem, with fair, automated revenue-sharing models ensuring that every contributor benefits.
Strengthening IP Ownership & Protection: Powering a Trustless Future
IP theft and unauthorised use have been rampant in the digital age. That’s why Mycelium Network and @WhatTheFreg are building the ultimate safeguard for creators, brands, and communities, working together with ecosystem partners to ensure true protection and accountability.
• $WTF as the AI Agent & IP Police – AI-powered protection that detects fake IPs, trolls counterfeit projects, and ensures rightful owners maintain control over their work.
• Programmable IP Licensing (PIL) – Smart contracts that automate IP ownership, permissions, and usage rights, eliminating disputes.
• On-Chain Provenance – Every creation, remix, and contribution is transparently recorded on-chain, ensuring proof of authorship and preventing unauthorised claims.
• Automated Royalty System – Creators, remixers, and participants get paid instantly whenever their content is used, ensuring fair compensation for all.
• IP Guardian AI – A Collaborative Defense Against IP Infringement – We are not building this alone. Mycelium Network is working with @StoryEcosystem partners to create a 24/7 watchdog against IP infringement, ensuring unauthorised use is flagged while legitimate collaborations are protected.
By leveraging on-chain verification, decentralised monitoring, and AI-driven detection, we are setting a new standard for IP security in the digital age. This is not just about protection — it’s about enabling a trustless, transparent system where creators, brands, and communities can innovate without fear of exploitation.
Empowering Communities: Turning Engagement into Ownership
Web3 isn’t just about decentralisation — it’s about empowering the people who drive culture. With Mycelium Network, @Mindblowon_IO, @Neighbours_IO and $WTF, community participation goes beyond engagement — it becomes ownership.
• Monetise Your Contributions – Whether you create, remix, or amplify content, your efforts translate into rewards.
• Seamless Micro-Licensing – Creators can easily monetise their work, licensing IP within the ecosystem without middlemen.
• Fair and Transparent Revenue Distribution – No gatekeepers, no corporate cut — every participant, from creators to fans, gets their fair share.
IP Promotion & Brand Loyalty: The Future of Engagement
For brands, loyalty is no longer just about marketing — it’s about co-creation. With Mycelium Network, brands can:
• Harness the Power of UGC & UGP – Supercharge engagement by allowing fans to expand the brand’s narrative through creative contributions.
• Leverage Decentralised Storytelling – Turn communities into active participants in IP development, creating new layers of brand identity.
• Turn Fans into True Advocates – Reward engagement, not just consumption. When fans become stakeholders, loyalty becomes unstoppable.
The Future is Co-Created
This is more than just a platform. This is a fundamental shift in how IP is created, owned, and monetised.
The old ways — where creators fought for ownership, brands struggled for engagement, and communities were left out — are gone.
The new era is here: collaborative, decentralised, and unstoppable.
The future isn’t just created — it’s co-created, expanded, and monetised.
Build with purpose.
