🚨UPDATE: Stalker in Harehills - Same force the watchdog said shuts cases early.

A woman in the Harehills area of Leeds reported an asylum seeker stalking her.

She gave police a name, an address and CCTV. They closed the log. No visit. No call.
She went to the council. Nothing.
She went to her MP. Nothing.

There is now a further clip. She can be heard telling him to get away from her property, late at night.

This is not just one bad case. In June 2026, His Majesty’s Inspectorate found West Yorkshire Police closing crimes that still had lines of inquiry, without allocating them for investigation. The same report said the force must improve how it investigates crime and safeguards adults at risk.
