I meditate three times a day—morning, afternoon, and night.
Each meditation feels different.
At night, especially, I feel as though I’m floating in space.
This past week has been one mistake after another.
Everyone makes mistakes. Lately, I’ve been able to accept myself just as I am.
And honestly, I quite like who I am these days.
Just joined a Zoom seminar with Ken Honda! People tuned in from all over the world for this event.
Ken was incredible-speaking non-stop in English for 2 full hours. Amazing!
So thankful for this truly special experience.
While reading at the hospital,
I kept hearing the crinkle of food wrapping.
I looked over and saw an elderly woman eating a rice ball.
Strangely, I wasn’t bothered.
The same sound from someone younger might have annoyed me.
Why?
I remember school trips when a group of us girls would gather in a dark room and tell scary stories.
Fear that would be unbearable alone somehow becomes curiosity when someone else is beside you.

I’m not a Harukist.
But for some reason, I keep thinking about those pauses between the short lines of dialogue exchanged between a man and a woman.
I wonder...
There’s something about the space between people that makes me imagine all kinds of stories.
