Karl Anthony-Towns lost his mom 6 years ago.
Ever since he has been a 3x all star, voted on to 2 All NBA teams, and now has won an NBA Finals game.
Just because his mothers death happened 6 years ago means the grieving process is over. This still effects him to this day.
Glad to see heโs still shining.
Anthony Edwards, who lost his mom to cancer in 2015, on getting the win tonight:
"Today is Mother's Day, so I just wanted to win for my mom ... I couldn't lose this game for her."
This young man went out for a meal by himself.
He said: โYou donโt know lonely until you have to take yourself for that meal alone because sitting in a room with strangers is better than sitting in your own thoughts in an empty roomโ ๐
@therealseanbain@Bill69168869653@TphamLV@HB_460 Catcher moved on yet you see Pham during the game still cursing at first base after the walk... Then going online to trash talk different people? You don't see any Jays players or even the catcher involved mentioning anything because it's a waste of time.
@therealseanbain@Bill69168869653@TphamLV@HB_460 It's a case of any good catcher, that he's trying to help his pitcher get a strike. Pham can talk all he wants, but pimping a walk and then going online to trash talk sounds a lot more childish. If he's the respected veteran he says to be, then he should act his age.
@TalkinBaseball_ You guys are a joke calling yourselves a baseball podcast/news source but you canโt even hide your bias as Yankee fans. So many other highlights from this game but you post this.
I was a "casual" and didn't really follow them until I saw what Masai was doing when I interned at MLSE. The Raps ran differently - in the best way. Losing Masai is not a good sign for what's to come from a culture perspective, imo. And there are concerns about the Rogers takeover/Larry exit.
