I am begging everybody to spend less time arguing about Hasan Piker and more time attacking Republicans. The election is in about two months. Lock the fuck in.
The nativist movement has always been disingenuous. They say it's about crime. But then say actually no, the peaceful noncriminals have to go too. They say it's about illegality. But then say, actually no, the legal ones need to go too. They just were never honest.
You should apologize for detaining and arresting Americans without probable cause. You should apologize for taking away our spouses and parents. You should apologize for the $1 trillion hole in the budget you've created. You should apologize and resign.
Police were called to Samuel Saxon’s home 23 times in eighteen months for domestic violence. He kept his badge the whole time.
An ICE assistant field office director in Cincinnati, Saxon had been abusing his partner for at least eight years — strangling her repeatedly, breaking her nose, and breaking her pelvis so badly it needed surgery.
On December 5, 2025, a witness watched him drag her into their apartment in a chokehold and heard her screaming. Police found bruises across her chest.
Investigators then caught him lying about it to a federal agent — he claimed he’d only spoken to her by phone that day. A witness’s video proved otherwise. He pleaded guilty to that federal charge and is awaiting sentencing; he still faces trial on the underlying assault and strangulation charges, to which he’s pleaded not guilty.
He spent 20 years as an ICE supervisor. As of this month, he no longer is.
@JustinWolfers Hasn't this been the name of the game since this administration came into existence? Heck, Republicans have been chipping away at eroding public trust for our institutions for decades.
The Census Bureau's report is more than just a bad number.
Our government is destroying the institutions charged with telling the truth.
Real investigators got pulled off drug trafficking and child exploitation cases to chase phantom voter fraud. That's the actual cost of propaganda. https://t.co/Lkw1Pz7aqF
The Trump administration has decided to only allow white refugees — rich white folks from South Africa — into the country.
The GOP lecturing us about racism is like Colonel Sanders lecturing us about veganism.
New reporting from ProPublica just exposed that Pete Hegseth polled top military commanders on cutting the program that protects civilians from military strikes.
Every single one wanted to keep the program, but Hegseth gutted it anyway for being too “woke.”
What followed was a U.S. strike in Yemen that a Pentagon review confirmed killed 153 civilians.
On day one of Trump’s unauthorized war in Iran, another strike hit an Iranian primary school and killed up to 168 people. Central Command itself warned that these cuts would mean “increased risk of target misidentification,” but Hegseth ignored them.
These are the consequences of having the greatest military in the world in the hands of the most incompetent SecDef in American history.

‼️I read Asia’s story this morning, and I wanted to share it with all of you so you can see how truly tragic it is when we call the police for their help. It broke my heart to say the least, as I am a survivor of domestic abuse myself.
Police say they are here to “serve & protect” us.
I beg to differ.
Here’s Asia’s story.
Her family needs answers.
Her family needs justice.
Read it, Share it, get the word out. ⬇️
Asia Bennett's family says she needed help the night those officers came to her door and that she was the victim.
Instead of protection, a Jacksonville Sheriff's officer shot her twice and took her life at just 22 years old.
Yesterday, her family gathered in Jacksonville to lay Asia to rest and celebrate a life cut far too short.
Asia deserved to survive that call.
They will not stop fighting until this family gets the answers and the accountability they deserve - and that includes releasing the bodycam footage and 911 calls.
Asia Bennett was nowhere near those Jacksonville Sheriff's Office officers. She was 22 years old, 110 pounds, a domestic violence victim standing outside her home, and there was no reason to shoot her.
Not once, and certainly not twice.
That officer had distance.
She had time.
She had every option a trained law enforcement officer is supposed to reach for before the gun, and she reached for the gun anyway.
Asia should be alive today, and her family deserves justice for losing her too soon.

I tweeted this two years ago.
Now here we are. Black people hanging from trees and being burned across the South.
At this point, Black people do need the Green Book if they travel across the South.

Israel is methodically wiping Lebanese villages off the map and calling it security. It’s obviously not occupation, collective punishment, and ethnic cleansing. Nope.
The Pentagon is paying an X influencer with your tax dollars — and won't say what she does.
"Data Republican" got handed a leak by an Under Secretary of State, freaked out thinking she was set up, and in the process we found out she's a paid Special Government Employee. Hired in July. By the Pentagon.
They won't disclose her role.
And the real question: how many more blue-check "independent" accounts pushing pro-Trump talking points are on the federal payroll right now?
Elsie Dominguez a U.S Navy Sailor filed a lawsuit after allegedly being raped in her bunk while asleep in her private quarters by her Captain. Then months later she found out that the DOL had determined the rape occurred within her job duties & was Workers Comp not a Court matter.
THE MODERN COUP🗽🔫: Weaponizing Democracy Against Itself
A modern coup doesn’t overthrow democracy. It uses democracy to dismantle democracy.
Instead of tanks, soldiers and the sudden seizure of government, it weaponizes the democratic system itself: elections, free speech, political parties, social media, influencers, public anger, polarization and even democratic institutions.
The goal is not to destroy the system overnight. The goal is to change it slowly enough that people continue believing they are participating in normal democratic politics while the foundations of democracy are gradually being dismantled around them.
That is what makes the modern coup so effective. There is no single morning when people wake up, see tanks in the streets and realize their government has been overthrown. Every individual step seems survivable. People argue about it, normalize it, adapt to it, and move on. Then comes the next step.
A traditional coup uses force against democracy.
A modern coup weaponizes democracy against itself. The Kremlin’s invention works very well.
