i literally cried bc my app wasn’t strong enough to get me into BU but macklin celebrini thinks ganache is pronounced “gonchay” and was accepted with wide open arms
I think when you’re overstimulated you should appear kind of grayed out and no one should be able to interact with you like a locked character in a video game
A close-up photograph of Sandra Birchmore deceased, showing only her face, was displayed on a large television screen in the courtroom yesterday. We had no warning. I was there, sitting among Sandra's family, and witnessed their reactions firsthand. They were visibly shaken and devastated. Seeing that image displayed in front of everyone was distressing enough, but to have it shown TWICE, without warning, was cruel and deeply upsetting.
The impact on the courtroom was unmistakable. The jury appeared distracted, and several jurors turned toward the gallery as many of us court watchers struggled to process what we had just witnessed. Sandra's family was left to absorb an incredibly painful moment, while Farwell's attorney continued her questioning as though nothing had happened. People throughout the room were still trying to comprehend what had just unfolded.
What makes this even more troubling is that there was no jury instruction afterward, leaving it unclear whether the repeated display was intentional or an inadvertent mistake. I cannot speak to the attorney's intent, but I can speak to the effect it had on those of us who were there. Nobody gave us a warning before that image appeared, and we were left to deal with the shock of seeing it.
I even had trouble sleeping last night because that image stayed with me. I cannot begin to fathom how Sandra's family is coping with this, especially while having to sit through the trial of the man accused of taking her life.
I understand that this is a trial and that evidence can be difficult to hear or see. But there is a difference between presenting necessary evidence and suddenly displaying a graphic close-up image of a deceased young woman on a large screen, without warning, and then displaying it a second time. I watched the people who loved Sandra endure that moment in real time, and it was incredibly painful to witness.
Sandra was a human being, not just an exhibit. Her family deserves compassion and consideration. The jury deserves the opportunity to remain focused on the evidence, and everyone in that courtroom deserves basic sensitivity in how such a graphic images are handled. To display it twice without warning, then carry on with questioning while the room was still trying to process what had happened, was appalling.
i would be such a good hockey wag bc i literally could not care less about my man being on a roadie for two weeks. In fact i encourage it. get out of my house
They were not having an affair. He was not her boyfriend. They were not in a relationship. Those are words meant to normalize this. It was never normal. She was a child when it started. How old she was when he “ended” it makes no difference. Sandra was always a victim. Always. #justiceforsandrabirchmore
it’s almost like widening your diagnostic criteria to include over thirty-five million people who were previously excluded from the criteria for almost forty years purely because of their sex leads to a spike in diagnoses. strange, i know!
i love watching sports with other women. they will never mansplain to me like i don’t know the sport. instead they do something i can only describe as investigative journalism. giving all the background info about their team, the players, & their personal superstitions
Another thing i forgot (sorry im still pissed) downplaying his popularity to “hes hot” instead of his amazing achievements at just 20yo is so disrespectful
