Dear Ro,

You're actively selling a wealth confiscation strategy, so it's time to address a few realities:

1. Criticizing entrepreneurs by saying "people don't look up to them the way they used to" is in extremely poor taste. Especially after @MichaelDell @altcap @RayDalio among others have donated billions to seed Trump Accounts.

2. Your pitch relies on demonizing billionaires for "not paying their fair share." The ultra-wealthy are on the contrary very generous - they're just very intentional. If they wanted to hand over control of their capital, they'd already be rushing in on your proposal. Tax + charitable giving is a very big number. The difference is simple: one of those you don't get to control (fortunately).

3. Jeff Bezos said it best: "If I do my job right, then value to society and civilization from my for-profit companies will be much, much larger than the good that I do with my chartiable giving" (or taxes paid for that matter). Hard to argue that.

4. Before demanding more revenue, sell solutions to the massive waste, fraud, and abuse that has been publicly exposed in recent years.

Here's the deal: you and your friends have mismanaged capital so badly that you're now shopping for a bailout. You're not even tying this confiscation to a very well thought out and specific plan, which tells me one thing: Deficits and waste would only grow.
