@NYC_SCA gave News 12 an exclusive look at the Dewey Annex opening in Sept. & providing 553 middle school seats in District 21. As part of our 2020-2024 Capital Plan, we are adding 6,700 seats in BKLYN AND our current Plan will add 17 new buildings and an additional 5,600 seats.

The SCA's current Capital Plan includes $1.8 billion in funding to enhance safety and security systems, expand accessibility of our facilities, and upgrade science labs, libraries, auditoriums, bathrooms and physical fitness facilities.
@NYC_SCA Project of the Week: P.S. 307 in District 13, serving 332 students in grades Pre K-5, now has an upgraded auditorium with a new stage, flooring, chairs and AV equipment as well as an adjoining, fully accessible bathroom. @NYCSchools
@NYC_SCA Project of the Week: This rooftop garden at PS/IS 217 on Roosevelt Island is nearly complete. This rooftop includes classroom instructional space for students and is fully ADA accessible via an elevator on the east side of the roof. @NYCSchools

@NYC_SCA Project of the Week: Steady progress on the 260-seat replacement building for P.S. 47 in Broad Channel. The old building was at 140% capacity & experienced extensive damage from Superstorm Sandy in 2012. This modern 4-story school will be ready in September. @NYCSchools
