Hey @MNAuroraFC is there a specific accessible (wheelchair/ADA) gate this year? Last year we got turned away from the front of one line to be sent to an unmarked gate/the VIP gate. Want to avoid that humiliation again!
The thing no one prepared me for about parenting was the sudden refusal to take a nap. Contact nap- NO. Crib nap - NO. Bassinet nap - HELL NO. Repeat. Hours later she’s finally asleep and I can’t move for fear that she’ll wake up in 10 min instead of 60.
Tomorrow is the 2 week mark of G sleeping in her own room. It might also be the first time neither of us is home at bedtime and Auntie will put her to bed instead. I’m not sure how to deal with that.
Tripped over a big rock bringing groceries in last night. Scraped the shit out of my knee. Kate told me I’m not allowed to wear her crocs anymore because I keep falling. Feels valid.
Me clean the mud off, held a baby all evening, and put said baby and me to bed all cozy. Oh and she cleaned up the kitchen after a weekend of having family in town visiting. She’s my hero.
My migraines have been back with a vengeance since I finished breastfeeding G. Tonight while trying to bring in groceries I slipped in the mud and got cut up on the driveway. Now it’s a fun game of does my body or head hurt more. Thankful for Kate who brought me ice cream, helped
The baby has had 3 “blowouts” in 2 days where it has escaped the top of her diaper and gone up her back even when there was not a large volume of poop. Any parents have tips on how to make that not happen? Is her diaper too wet? Too loose? Sincerely, covered in 💩
We survived G’s first thanksgiving. We ordered a grocery store heat and serve dinner that ended up being delicious. My in-laws had a great time staring at the baby. I heated the food and prepped apps, Kate did all the dishes and cleared the table. Success
I really hate that this BWSL announcer continues to call Mariona “Caldentey” on every broadcast. Her kit says Mariona. Her name is listed as Mariona on lineups. Call players by their names.
I didn’t even take a full 12 weeks of parental leave because my kid was in the hospital so I worked part-time. I still returned today to 2,232 emails from being gone for 6 weeks.
Putting the baby, dog, and cat in matching jack-o-lantern costumes was maybe the greatest idea Kate has ever had. Can’t wait to do this with all 5 of us in our Christmas jammies.
I love when abled people comment on disabled creator’s content and entirely miss the point. Today’s example: “this is why I love the word differently abled”. Friend, the disabled person uses the word disabled to describe themself and it’s not a bad word.
