February marks 20 years since @LittleBrotherNC made their debut with “The Listening” in 2003. One of the best groups of all time in my opinion. Can’t wait to catch them on tour this spring/summer 🙌🏿 @RapperBigPooh @phontigallo
The league has to throw itself into games like this and the next wave of teams/stars. The hay is in the barn with the TV money. So take the time over the next few years to invest in marketing new players/teams rather than leaning on crutches. That’s the way forward
When basketball is awesome, it's freaking awesome -- Knicks-Spurs was awesome. Bonkers Wemby stuff, Spurs turned into a dunk machine for a bit, and you have to feel great for Bridges who is about all the right things.
@rodimusprime Right. the relative scarcity of NFL games vs NBA, among other reasons, makes it completely different. so easy to consistently build days around the NFL and fall into habit of watching when you know it's on every Sunday for months
@andrejgee agreed. and, for better or for worse, thanks to media landscape shifts/social media, stars don't *need* exposure to tough convos to promote their music and/or stay in the public eye, especially big acts that got their start before the streaming era really took off.
@MathiasxDC@CoryTownes episode was good though! feel like it was a small point that was really more about his own personal experiences with younger djs (but more broadly i think really should've applied to people frequently showing up unprepared and under-practiced, regardless of tech/experience)
@CoryTownes@MathiasxDC !! so many people in the comments on that post deeply defensive about their preferences. but as long as you can mix, and you're prepared, a DJ can sound great on anything (from vinyl to USBs to controllers and so on)
Your Boys™ got really soggy faced on this episode 😂 very emotional conversation about parenthood, friendship, growth. We couldn't be prouder or happier for our Johnnyboy.

I remember seeing this opening weekend. Packed theater. The cheers that erupted when boomer jumped through that damn door, you would have thought we were watching the Super Bowl 😂
Baseball is a niche sport nationally and a regional juggernaut. NBA is bigger than baseball nationally but has much fewer TV viewers and in-venue fans per game than MLB locally in most cases where a metro area has both pro sports.
My semi-annual reminder that across the board, in EVERY sport*, replay review has made the product worse AND has not improved “accuracy” at all & it should all be done away with.
*Except for tennis, where it seems to work truly flawlessly. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Archives should never disappear. Full-stop. This is what they mean when they say we're in a digital dark age. There will be no evidence of the incredible cultural journalism that so many people contributed to. If this happens with BuzzFeed News...I STG https://t.co/sM5xwJAMxY
