In conclusion, DAPT is used post-PCI to prevent early stent thrombosis, but increases bleeding risk. DAPT duration post-PCI is patient specific and should consider stent type, DAPT score, and evidence based medicine guidelines!

For patients with ACS, the TICO trial supported shorter DAPT followed by P2Y12 monotherapy

The SHORT DAPT trial was published after the 2021 guidelines, but supports shorter DAPT in this patient population
