🚨 𝗠𝗔𝗝𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: CONMEBOL president Alejandro Domínguez has announced that the 2030 FIFA World Cup will have 64 participating teams, not 48.

He also adds that the kickoff of the tournament will be in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay in commemoration of the World Cup's centennial, after which it will move to the main venues in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

@HatTrickChris Which I think it’s ridiculous that 80% of teams from CONMEBOL would get in. So doubt that will happen or either merger with CONCACAF happens or expansion into Asia and Africa takes its place
