And here it is - a brief, half-assed email to confirm tickets are gone (shocker) with no mention of the social media outrage, no shred of accountability for the misleading comms and no apology.

Stunned by how poorly handled this all is.

The handling of this ‘ballot’ has been shambolic. The email today was totally misleading. @TicketmasterUK You told hundreds of us we had ALLOCATED tickets to a once in a lifetime event, with time to claim them. Is that even legal?

Disgraceful.

According to the terms and conditions as per the ballot application process and bbc website it does state this would NOT be first come first served.
You have breeched your own terms and conditions. You owe a massive explanation as to why we have received emails to state we have won to be met with this absolute shambles.

@HM_Passport Hi there, out of interest is there an approximate timeframe between a passport being printed and dispatched to TNT? Or do you dispatch to them on certain days for example? My passport renewal was printed on Thursday but no more updates. Thanks! 🌎

@BelsMoore @HM_Passport Thank you, that’s helpful to know. Popped my application number in the TNT tracker and it’s saying it can’t find what I’m looking for, so assuming they don’t have it yet!
