A3) Teachers must understand that students don't understand their implicit bias. Instead of treating it like a "gotchya" moment, it should be treated as a learning opportunity for all. Other students need to hear the message as well as the individual. #HackLearning
Addressing implicit bias with colleagues is challenging. I like to assume they don't realize their bias at all, and say, "You know what is unsettling to me?...." I've found this to be a good way to begin tough conversations.
