Yesterday, Akan shared from Matthew 25:14-30 where we read about the parable of talents.
We know from Genesis 1:26-28 that God made us in His image and instructed us to "Be fruitful and multiply".
So, what have you got in your hands? And what have you done with it?
You're invited! Visit us this Sunday for a time of worship and fellowship, with a side of coffee and cake! 11am-12noon #everyonewelcome#whatslifeabout#jesus
The Sermon on The Mount gives us a clear understanding of what we should be like, because Jesus was, is, and will be all of these things. He taught His disciples there, and we must continue to teach one another about the biblical meaning of what being blessed truly is.
There is tremendous power when God's people come together in unity to worship Him.
On Sunday we were privileged to praise all morning, declaring the goodness of our God, His power and majesty, and remind each other that God is good all the time! ๐
We are joining thousands of communities to celebrate the fact we have #MoreInCommon at the #GreatGetTogether on 23rd June, 3-5:30pm!
Come and join us at our Alley Party; it's entirely free. There will be live music, a buffet, games, prizes and fun for all the family.
We are a people called to love God passionately and love other people indiscriminately. These are the two greatest commandments. When we obey these, obedience to all other commandments is a natural overflow.
Just think: How much could your love and compassion change this city?
The threshing floor is a place of authority and refinement.
The people of God are not a weak people. Like the sledges of the threshing floor we have teeth! Teeth that carve away the mountains and obstacles we face until the chaff is blown away and the good grain remains.
It's all about being ready to bring the gospel of peace.
In Christ, we find strength, and we have His Word to direct us, and His Spirit as the Advocate, to teach us how to live lives worthy of the calling we have received.
Folks, be on fire for God and meditate on His Word."
The people who came together to build the tower of babel were united by a vision that even God had to comment on...
Covenant people are powerful when united by a vision. Imagine if God could find a people who were united by his purpose. What could God achieve through them?
As we come together Church, let's remember how much the Lord has entrusted us with.
He has called His people to be mediators of His blessings. How much He has given us! How awesome that He has put us at the centre of His plans for this world!
Chris encouraged us from the scripture โwe are Godโs special possessionโ, as Christians we have been given a priestly role, to minister the blessings of God to the world around us, his love, grace, and forgiveness
Where can we live out this word this week, church?
Our God is strong, that we can build our life and identity on God's strength. His strength is loud like Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4) and eternal. God's strength has serious ability (Ezekiel 37) and is delightful, delighting in us. It brings us strength.
His strength is guaranteed.
Morning everyone! Weโre looking forward to being together this morning to worship Jesus and hear from his living, life-giving word ๐ - hereโs something to enecourage us from last week โ๏ธ
"We worship the King over all kings who rode into Jerusalem on a tiny donkey at a time when all other leaders made triumphal entries on magnificent horses. At a time when might and conquest was the way of the world, Jesus demonstrated humility."
(See also 1 Corinthians 1:27).
We can be expectant for those "and then" moments. That is who we are. This comes from our faith in Him.
There's no circumstance or situation where God cannot turn everything around for his glory and our blessing.
(See Ephesians 3:20)
Ian led us through the Scriptures this morning, to start answering the question:
"What should His Church look like?"
This was the first week where we recorded Ian's message, so stay tuned at the end of the week to view this!" https://t.co/OQkC3Bpz4n
We were extremely blessed to hear the word of God yesterday from Akan.
The Creator has blessed us with many gifts. We need to recognise when we are operating in our gifting, to utilise our potential, and therefore selflessly share the "gift of salvation", as commanded.
