A very interesting perspective shared by a twitter used regarding #race within law and the #justice system. Do you believe that level of prosecution and punishment is related to race or ethnicity?
@LoganJerryLaw1 1/2 The death penalty was ruled #unconstitutional in California in 2016 & the state has not executed a prisoner since 2006. In this case, I believe the #deathpenalty would not do the case justice as it essentially gives this woman an "out"
2/2 section 2 of the Charter of #Rights and #Freedoms, that outlines freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression. Do you feel teachers should be forced into oppression to be able to be employed at this school?

1/2 Calgary Catholic High School has now made it a requirement that teachers sign a #contract on values that indicate same-sex or common law relationships are a #breach in contract. I believe this is appalling & extremely #discriminatory. It also violates
https://t.co/TwFp3cBufP 1/2 Charlie Morton, a free-agent in the MLB has just signed a 30 million dollar 2 year contract with the Rays. Although not much information has been released about the agreements of his contract, he has a promising season and a lot of

1/3 Employees are now receiving more #protection from the law when it comes to employer-employee relationships and workplace environments. With the passing of Bill C-65, amendments are being made to the Canada #Labour code including mandatory training of
2/3 federally regulated employers and employees, and the goal is to ensure employees understand there is a #policy and there are requirements for reporting as well as for employers to do an investigation into any harassment issues in the workplace.

Hungarian citizens protested furiously as this new change in #labor code & #employment laws will be set in place January 1st 2018. Employers will now have the authority to request 400 hours of overtime work from employees during the year. Is this #fair?
@mmitropoulos_ This completely violates Rule of Law as his occupation is resulting in him being essentially โaboveโ the law by not receiving any punishment for possession of an illegal drug. The charges most definitely should not have been dropped.
Just For Laughs founder Gilbert Rozon is charged with #sexcrimes, Rozon is also facing a $10-million class-action #lawsuit alleging that he abused at least 20 women between 1982 and 2016. He stepped down as president of Just For Laughs last year.
@BrigantiLaw The #new laws in regards to cell phones and driving consist of an immediate 30-day license suspension as well as a fine up to $1000. As the laws and penalties are more severe, I am disappointed that these casual occurrences continue to happen. https://t.co/o980Qh7ucU
@AlessandraFuoc2 2/2 This 100% falls under that category and possibly even #assault and #battery. This teacher should receive criminal punishment not just a suspension. https://t.co/CsdwnEMtXM
@AlessandraFuoc2 1/2 The broad definition of child abuse in many places is โany type of cruelty inflicted upon a child, including mental abuse, physical harm, neglect, and sexual abuse or exploitation.โ l
@juliusadu5@ECKBLAW I see what you mean, & intellectually i wouldโt classify the individual as an adult. However, juvenile court & prosecution is much less severe than adult court & prosecution, & i feel that the crime he committed warrants serious punishment, something juvenile court canโt provide
@juliusadu5@ECKBLAW This lays out the difference between juvenile and adult court, in which major differences in severity can be seen https://t.co/RDewPiVwU6
@juliusadu5@ECKBLAW 2/2 he chose to commit the crimes that he did. He should not be tired in #juvenile court (which is far less serious than adult court) simply because of his age. He committed a heinous crime & ended two lives and for this, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent as an adult.
