@ConstantinusAu2@kevinjhcannon@samantha_mosi@MBGov I see your point but there is no reason to close all the schools. It makes no sense when there have been zero cases in some of them. Shut them down in the hot spots but nowhere else. It is time for this government to do something that makes sense.
@MBGov Please don’t close all the schools!! Close them in hot spots only!! Our school has not had one case at all! We are outside the city and I’m tired of being held hostage because people in Winnipeg (where the majority of cases are) don’t respect health orders!!!
@kevinjhcannon@samantha_mosi@MBGov I disagree. We live outside the city and have never had a case in our school! Close the schools in the hot spots if you must, but don’t punish the rest of the province because the people in Winnipeg (where the majority of cases are) don’t respect health orders!
@lizellisclark @MBGov All schools should not be closed. Just the ones in hot spots. My child’s school has not had any cases at all. They should not be punished because people in Winnipeg cannot respect the health orders.
@JaimePineau I agree that an increase in mill rate right now is unfavourable. It might have been unavoidable as costs rise everywhere. We kept our mill rate the same as last year but it was a struggle to do that while keeping service levels the same. #mgmt0180

We know that every dollar invested in infrastructure increases real GDP by $1.60. Doubling the #federalGTF for 3 years, as a Municipal Recovery Fund, would empower local leaders to tackle the most pressing needs of the people they serve. #cdnmuni#Budget2021#cdnpoli
@Jasonsolty It is interesting to read this article now that the review of the school system was released. A bit of a different perspective. I am all for paying less tax but I’m a bit uneasy as to where the money will come from. #mgmt0180

#CDNmuni own 60% of the public infrastructure that supports 🇨🇦’s economy + quality of life, and it requires continual renewal. Doubling the #FederalGTF allocation for 3 years in #Budget2021 would deliver direct, reliable, job-creating stimulus investment to Canadians. #cdnpoli
