Collaborate, create, problem solve and teamwork is what I saw from my Kindergarten kids this morning as we made our penguins for STEAM night! I'm very proud of their creations! #ThisisWES#mtlsdsteam

We love our fifth grade buddies! Today they came down to help us with this week's STEAM challenge called "Heavy Hearts." It is so awesome to watch the "big" kids helping our Kindergarten kids! #ThisIsWES @mrphilips203
We are really loving our STEAM challenges in Kindergarten. Our challenge this week was, "Who can make the longest chain possible using only one piece of paper?" Great job to our top three winners and all of the children who participated! #ThisIsWES
What's better than exercising just your brain?....exercising your body and your brain at the same time. I β€οΈ this activity of having the kids exercising while reading their sight words! It's the perfect way to get us going on a Monday morning! #ThisIsWES#burpeesforthewin
We loved making pop-up cards to show the main character and setting of There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow. I love when they have the opportunity to draw and create!! #ThisIsWES
Face match.....Students explored 3D shapes today and had to match faces. They were especially engaged when we had a contest to see which group could match the most faces in 30 seconds!!
We are very excited for our first STEAM activity....Our Maker Tree! We've traveled to 5 different countries learning about the holiday customs and traditions of each one. The students will be creating their own decorations for the tree....stay tuned for the "after" picture!
