LOOK: Mercedes Cabral's international film 'Enjoy your stay' and Elijah Canlas' Cinemalaya movie 'Raging' (Rumaragasa) both made it to the Panorama section of the 76th Berlinale Film Festival.
This is Mercedes' first Berlinale entry and she will be attending the festival ceremonies alongside co-stars Irma Adlawan, Donna Cariaga and Honeylyn Alipio.
Meanwhile, this is Elijah's second year in a row in Berlinale. He attended last year for the movie 'Sunshine'. Unfortunately, due to conflicting schedules Elijah won't be attending the festivities. Theatrical run of his play 'About us but not about us' are the same dates as the festival.
The Panorama section of Berlinale are for low budget films with sociological discussions. And has its own awarding ceremonies.
“There’s a higher purpose with everything we do,” #ElijahCanlas. Having quit show business once, the actor now sees the bigger picture, wielding his craft and platform as forces for good.
