So everyone seems to be talking about the ownership side of digital now that Sony is dropping physical games and looking at Steam and how they do things. I get the fear of it but off the top of my head has Sony actually ever removed a game from an account? Does P.T count? lol.

I just looked at the petition that has been going around (for a week now apparently) to have Sony bring back physical media and was shocked at how few people had signed it. FYI, it is currently at 224K+ signatures. I was expecting millions. lol

It is pretty wild how Xbox fired thousands of people today and barely anyone is even talking about it because of the Playstation news and them removing physical copies. lol.

If everyone is expecting Sony to reverse their decision on gaming physical media it looks like that might be out the window. Their biggest factory that prints PS discs in Austria has been converted to make optical micro lenses. The workers are being re-trained.

Been thinking a lot about Sony stopping physical copies on their games in 2028. I tweeted about it earlier but they could have waited and done the inevitable in 5 years or just done it now and gotten it over with. Better to rip off the band-aid now. It sucks but this was coming.

Just saw the news that playstation is stopping physical copies on new games by 2028. That really sucks to see but the trend shows it was inevitable. 85% of sales are already digital and growing very year. Was it better to just rip off the band-aid now? Pc has been for years.

Microsoft is trying to spin-off Xbox so every little thing is going to be looked at. If Xbox has truly paused many of their third party deals on Game Pass I'm not surprised. They spend over a billion dollars a year on said third party games. Feels like that is being cut as well.

As someone who has never been able to watch much soccer, I've been watching a lot of the World Cup. I've really enjoyed it. Being able to watch all these top stars that everyone loves like Messi, Mbappe, Ronaldo etc that I never get to watch has been awesome. ⚽️#worldcup

The Steam Machine prices are insane but I get it. AI screwed over everyone and Valve wants to make profit on every unit. Do you think you will buy the Steam Machine?

I think Xbox should go the route of PS Plus. Make the games exclusive, make them timed on Game Pass and get people to buy the games again which would increase console sales. Millions would still sub to Game Pass even if they made this switch. Thoughts? 🙂 #xbox

If Xbox removed Day 1 first party games from Game Pass (adding them later on) and continued to add day 1 third party, would subs really decrease that much? Would removing day 1 increase game sales and console sales? Is that all too risky?🙂

Gears of war E-Day and clockwork revolution being exclusive on Xbox console only feels like a test run. I guess we will see if console sales improve and ppl buy the games. Xbox is really 🤞their fingers on this I think. #xbox

Surprised about the backlash on here about the new God of War game with Faye. We've had female protagonists for decades in gaming. I thought it looked great. It looked very fun. I can't wait to see the lore and how it connects to the next Kratos game.🙂
