When you touch a cat's ear, it feels like you are touching the petal of a rose. I think God may have made them from the same material. It is all very beautiful
@RunawayLobsterr also teaching babies and tots how to be more independent is def not easy ! It’s uncomfortable & it can make you feel badly, but letting them entertain themselves for 5-15min for the sake of your own self care is extremely important for mom AND baby 💛 Not easy, but must be done!
There’s also another side to this: Your baby is not going to die if you put them down for a moment to take a shower. They won’t be traumatized if you are not holding & looking at them 24/7. Stop losing yourselves in your infants/tots & do research so you don’t hurt development!
if you’re a mom on here talking about how you don’t shower for 72 hours straight, can’t change your clothing, can’t perform basic hygiene because your baby is just inconsolably attached at your hip, im going to assume that your husband absolutely hates you
@RunawayLobsterr And postpartum depression is very real & under researched (like most women’s health issues) but any dr will tell you before you leave the hospital with your baby that if you’re feeling overwhelmed, overly anxious, or frustrated, it’s safest to put them down, even for a min 💛
@RunawayLobsterr I am not judging moms, just trying to help! Your baby will not die if you put them down, and no baby ever died from crying. Thats the truth! Some people need to hear this ! With so many mom groups spreading misinformation, I wanted to speak up and give info i learned myself.
Here to remind you again that Juneteenth isn't the celebration of the slaves being freed. It's the celebration of enslaved Texans finding out they were free TWO years after slavery was abolished....so.....UNTIL EVERYONE IS FREE, NO ONE IS FREE.
@Clauvc84 I’m not saying neglect your kid. Parents are so uncomfortable at the thought of baby crying for a few min (which they often do for no reason!) that they lose their own humanity! Infant care should not take away your ability to care for yourself! I advocate for parents AND babies!
@emberambience while i completely understand that, how to self soothe is a very important lesson parents have to teach their babies. feeling discomfort/pain when hearing your child cry does not absolve you of your parental duty to foster proper development.
@MuffinKiller243 Never said it’s harmful to hold your baby!
& saying “they’ll learn that eventually” is why we are where we are with development! YOU are supposed to teach them that independence! It won’t happen overnight, they’re going to cry at first!! A few minutes at a time! It’s a process ☺️
