I actually gave this book to a student to read, but found it helpful for me. The author uses John 5:44 as the basis. The chapter on vindication was very powerful, and very difficult to apply.

Victory in Spiritual Warfare by Tony Evans
The opening illustration in this book really set the tone. We need to remember there is a battle, but we are not fighting for victory, we are fighting from a position of victory. It's all about the proper perspective.
