@causalinf@PossebomVitor Given that the SC estimates use T -> infty, a bunch of these confuse me, but I'll take the authors word at the existing heterogeneity in specification searches. Either way, thanks!
@causalinf@PossebomVitor I thought people mostly use all pre-treatment time periods? Botosaru and Ferman (2018) seemed to say excluding pre-treatment time periods to force covariate balance isn't worth it, unless I misread. Is there a lot of specification search through adding or removing time periods?
@jmhorp Just anecdotes from being at Iowa State University and tertially involved in student libertarian groups when I first moved here in 2013. Met lots of Paul fans.
@imbernomics @graykimbrough Looked to be around 90-100 temporary interview spaces set up in the Hyatt's Grand Ballroom, and I didn't see/run into other public interview spaces. Other interviews happened elsewhere, mostly in suites.
@Noahpinion I don't understand the expectation that TFP movements are uncorrelated. I would imagine that as good productions between more interconnected between countries that TFP movements would become highly correlated. Is there any simple explanation for this?
@pedrohcgs @Andrew___Baker @causalinf@BeauKilmer @rmaccoun Thanks for the clarification! I figured it was a developmental package, but just checked Brantly's github where I only saw "did" listed when I was setting things up. Everything is working now.
@Jabaluck We had a yacht tax, and it mostly depressed or killed the market of 20-40 ft yachts that were priced between $100-500k new, produced by small boutique outfits that employed few high skilled workers. What's the criteria to determine what expenditures 'help people'?
