Deadly crash in Newport News: Warning – you may find this video disturbing. Twenty-five seconds after a Virginia highway safety patrol vehicle set up to block a ramp on I-64 in Newport News a Toyota Camry ran into it. The safety patrol worker was able to get out of the overturned vehicle on their own. @VSPPIO reports at least one person in the Camry died. This afternoon, we stopped by the Carroll County Safety Training Center, where first responders from across the state attend various life-saving training courses to help them keep our Maryland communities safe.
We are deeply saddened to share that legendary @MountHoops coach Jim Phelan passed away peacefully in his sleep at home last night.
