In the company of Amb. Willy Bett, Deputy Amb @MwendeLinai, @PSAhassan and @Joymdivo, I had a productive meeting with Mr. Li Gao, Vice Minister, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, People's Republic of China.

We discussed strengthening Kenya–China cooperation on climate action, including linking and enhancing green investments through the Africa Green Industrialization Initiative #AGII and the Accelerated Partnership for Renewables in Africa #APRA.

Our discussions also covered priorities for the upcoming COP30 Summit: advancing multilateralism, climate finance, adaptation (Global Goal on Adaptation and adaptation finance), NDCs, strengthening international cooperation and addressing barriers for just and equitable global transitions such as unilateral trade measures.

The green energy transition presents a great opportunity for socio-economic transformation. Kenya and China will continue to deepen their collaboration under South-South cooperation
