@SmpsnJermaine No, it’s about incentives and waste. Spend £3bn a year on more child benefits, no problem. Gift £10bn to Ukraine, ah well. Put military age men in hotels, why not. Time of crisis for your own nationals abroad, lead with envy and indignation rather than empathy. Sounds about right

@Theholisticpsyc Scenario: a 16 year old girl is being verbally abusive to her Dad, blaming him for misplacing something he didn’t which he has calmly explained was not the case multiple times but she continues to scream angrily alleging malicious action. How would you handle such a tantrum 🤔?

@curtdoolittle Science is the limit case of philosophy in the same way that isolation is the limit case of interrelation - there is no true demarcation. The Scientific Method is a philosophy, a way of knowing…epistemology etc

@ralphhage @nntaleb I thought the same. Once a convention of language is established, we have a framework within which to explain things that are beyond what we experience. A good explanation has a logic and is rational
