Converting oil dependency into energy independence should be the top goal in NL. We are giving millions of dollars in subsidies to entertain oil companies, when we could be spending it to advance our ocean economy, our wind economy, and hydrogen economy responsibly.
Climate action and climate chaos mitigation should be at the top of the list for our minister of environment and climate change @LisaVDempster and NL should still be looking at ways to move away from big oil because
…by failing to point out the root causes of rising climate temperatures, like big oil extraction, we are failing to truly address the solution. There has been at least 3 community events that discussed a just transition this spring/summer that our minister did NOT to attend.

I was sadly surprised to see a large group of MHA’s, who acknowledged climate justice activists from @fffstjohns in September, act so childish and show zero regard for meaningful policy revisions to address climate change and renewable industry development.
This leaves us in a scare situation and puts pressure on our pockets and on our environment. As our politicians sit there and argue among each other about who is the best, and who did what first, we suffer increasing homelessness….
