On the passing of @wicknellchivayo nomatter how we feel about the man. Let's remember he was a Son , a Brother, a Father, a Friend. The truth is a life has been lost and that's never something to celebrate. May The Souls of the departed Rest In Peace. Its not our place to judge.
@sama Immense capabilities coupled with the need to learn restraint, we ought to reach the necessary level of cyber maturity before democratization is even considered.
When your reputation has been damaged online address misinformation quickly with facts, rather than ignoring it. Use official statements and interviews where possible. Have strong Legal and PR teams. Silence often allows falsehoods to spread. #Reputation#privacy#crisis

@LuizaJarovsky For liability to be possible we ought to have recognisability and accountability. I agree the current legal frameworks are insufficient. It is great to see a major stride in the EU it surely is the beginning of what we need but won't suffice on its own.
🚨 INTERPOL report finds AI linked to more than half of cybercrime in Africa
Cyberattacks are becoming faster, more scalable, and increasingly difficult for victims and platforms to detect, according to INTERPOL’s African Cyberthreat Assessment Report 2026.
The report points to a major shift: cybercrime has evolved into an industrialized, borderless ecosystem.
Key findings include:
🔵 55% of cybercrimes reported in Africa are AI-enabled.
🔵 Online scams are the most frequently reported form of cybercrime.
🔵 Financial services, telecoms, and government institutions are the hardest hit.
🔵 Cybercrime-related financial losses have more than doubled since 2024, rising to USD 484 million.
🔵 72% of surveyed countries reported scam centres, with the highest concentration in Southern and West Africa.
🔵 Criminals are bypassing biometric checks by creating AI-generated synthetic identities that combine real personal data with fabricated elements.

“They want you to think of innovation as like the accelerator of the car, and they want to use the idea of regulations like the brakes of the car. (...) There’s an alternative model, which I think is far more accurate, which is that innovation is like the accelerator of the car, and regulation is the steering wheel. Now, you wouldn’t want to make very fast cars without steering wheels. The whole point of regulation is not to stop progress; it’s to cause progress to happen in the right direction. To make these technology companies produce things that are good for people, not things that are bad for them.”
