The federation and the manager would love nothing more than one final photo opportunity. Smiles, handshakes, applause and a carefully manufactured happy ending to make everyone look good.

Ronaldo knows exactly how that game would be used. They want closure without accountability, and he’s refusing to give them that luxury.
