It depends how you look at it really and what type of startup you’re planning to build imo.

If you really want to ship as fast as humanly possible and code quality isn’t a concern, a boilerplate is fine.

If you want to build a long-term startup, starting from scratch may be in your best interest.

Most (maybe all?) large solo entrepreneurs don’t buy SaaS boilerplates, they sell them
