Yesterday firefighters responded to a boy with his foot stuck in his bike after some quick cuts he was out and unharmed but the bike was a little worse for wear so today the firefighter society decided to get Jayden a new one, now he’s back riding and doing well.
Ranch Road at SE 27-70-26-W4 closed starting July 25 as crews work to replace the bridge culvert. Alternate routes for road traffic will be through Forestview and Croswell Road or Highway 2 and 2A. Residents are thanked for their patience while this work is underway.

Update 4:10 PM (June 13th) —— while we have no word yet on when Hwy 88 will be reopened, we are happy to say that work began today on the repair to Hwy 88 at KM 15. We will have updates on the repairs as they become available.
Update June 13th --- If you are heading West to High Prairie please be aware that there are multiple road closures in Big Lakes County. One near Kinuso and Swan River, and the other by Driftpile. According to Alberta 511 some delays are expected to be as long as 6 hrs
