@gelsomino555 @moontreezone Sausage gravy is closer to a bechamel made with pork fat. Stock really doesn't come into it. When I've made it vegetarian, I've used sauteed mushrooms and seasoning for the flavor and black beans for the texture

@moontreezone @Armataan You can make a version that's vegetarian but you need to add fat from somewhere. I've made a version with mushrooms sauteed in butter, heavy cream in the place of milk, and smoked paprika, sage, and red pepper to emulate the sausage flavor and black beans for the texture

@ahmed__ycn @ArabLeft2026 Lawrence was actually settled by abolitionists in the hopes that they could get enough people who opposed slavery in the state to ban slavery in Kansas. It worked and tipped the balance in Congress from being majority slave states to majority free states.
