Outrageous, heartbreaking and maddening reporting by @cassandrajar on the "horrific" preventable death of Josseli Barnica. An absolute must read. https://t.co/ThYbAlswPs

Three former Memphis police officers have been found guilty of various charges in the Tyre Nichols trial. Only Demetrius Haley was guilty of civil rights violations, but a lesser charge that said the force didn’t result in Nichols’ death. https://t.co/4bPRKv8oEj
Super excited to announce that Civil Wrongs Season 4 is now live! I had so much fun last semester working on this project, and I'm so glad I finally get to share it.

On this day in 1919, Black farmers in eastern Arkansas gathered for a union meeting that they knew was a threat to power structures looking to maintain racial hierarchy and cheap labor. Two law enforcement officers showed up and a shootout left one of them dead.
What happened next ballooned into one of the deadliest race massacres in American history that is not widely known. Descendants of victims and survivors say the massacre’s effect is still felt in Elaine, Arkansas.
I have enjoyed getting to know the folks at Weakley County Reconciliation Project and the ups and downs of this really important work. This story is a collaboration with @Report4America

@sjfalard I love Authory. They automatically pull your stories from websites you tell them to and save them as PDFs in case the site ever disappears (which sadly, is not unheard of) Mine is here: https://t.co/GGHCsYWM1F
