The insurance is provided by the District not Disney. The fight was over getting the insurance for retirees back, something that was bargained away years ago by the Union.

3rd party vendors get what plan they pay into. From my understanding Disney has different tiers operating partners can choose from. The life time insurance isn’t through Disney that is through the District.
