Key Insights:

🔹Being transactional in energy and #security is not morally bad, since countries always act in their best interest. However, transactions have to be based on trust and mutual understanding.

🔹For emerging #economies, existential needs such as affordable energy and food always come first. #Climateaction cannot overtake basic #security and affordability priorities.

🔹Innovation in #finance is as critical as innovation in technology. Different financing frameworks, such as blended #finance, development banks, sovereign funds, and South-South cooperation, all need to work together.

Our post-Summit series continues with a spotlight on a major new resource introduced at FiCS 2025: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸.

Building upon a comprehensive bibliography of 400+ research papers, the Reference Book summarizes who PDBs are, what they do, and how they contribute to sustainable development. It features numerous case studies highlighting the success and challenges of today’s 536 PDBs managing $23 trillion in assets.

The Reference Book will be officially launched at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in June 2025. It is currently available for free consultation on the FiCS website: https://t.co/erdE3STUvs
