Funimation being bought out and absorbed into Crunchyroll is one of the biggest downfalls of the Western anime industry.
Crunchy still doesn’t have the entirety of Funi’s back catalogue on streaming
Rightstuf is DEAD
And Crunchy has significantly slowed down on physical media

Today is the big day!
29 years ago on March 17, 1997, #Toonami first aired on Cartoon Network and action animation found its rightful home. Tell us why you like Toonami in the comments below!
Thank you and happy birthday, Toonami!🎉🎉🎉
Adults are allowed to have fun. Play video games. Read books. Watch anime series. Collect collectibles. And if anyone tells you otherwise, tell them to grow up.
Both deals potentially have negatives, but this is a good deal for movie theaters and drive ins if Paramount agrees to a 60 day window. I don’t know how this would affect Adult Swim and Toonami since they would own the networks. My hope is they expand both. Time will tell.
If it wasn’t for #Toonami, anime would not be as popular as it is now in the United States. Yes anime was on before Toonami, but didn’t become as popular as it is now until CN gave it a popular platform. Shit Crunchyroll wouldn’t exist. Just saying.
