Yoi deserve a great deal of credit for your role in this matter, given the wider significance of the whole affair.

You may note that the expenditure on the stadium is £800m (!) and rising. Given the absolute inequality in infrastructure and investment between the UK's regions and London; Jim Ratcliffe's call for tax payer money on behalf of Manchester United (under the "levelling up premise"), it was all a terribly narrow minded approach the PL (as prosecutor, with latitude not to make referals) took in this whole affair.

The freudian slip of "small teams" at the DCMS committee you chaired gave an insight into the PL's views on the importance (or not) of private sector investment in sporting infrastructure projects. No care at all for such initiatives in lower income communities and regions represented by less decorated clubs.
